SUSTAINABILITY POLICY REVIEW ACROSS ASEAN:
A client in the agriculture sector commissioned Aroca to undertake a comprehensive review analysing the sustainability policies of governments in ASEAN markets, including Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines. The review focused on government initiatives and policies in the agricultural sector, with analysis on how this was driving government action. Analysis and research on a was conducted through targeted engagement with the key decision makers within the relevant government authorities in each target country. The report outlined key policies in each country and recommended strategies on how the client can align its sustainability efforts with the work of government and the policy direction of the government. It also focused on ways in which the client can partner with the governments to achieve effective solutions to the sustainability challenges.
SHAPING REGULATIONS AND POLICIES TO OPEN UP NEW MARKETS:
The client in the micro-mobility sector had been facing regulatory hurdles stopping it from commercial expansion in key cities within Australia. Aroca delivered engagement and support to educate the key government decision makers and successfully advocate for shifts in policy as well as shape legislative change. This enabled the client to work in partnership with all levels of government and become a leading provider of micro-mobility services in the country.
BUILDING THE NARRATIVE FOR KEY STAKEHOLDERS
Aroca supported a global leader in the agriculture sector to develop an overall narrative and messaging for the key pillars of their work within Asia. The objective was to create a narrative and messaging to help the organisation communicate to a range of audiences including government stakeholders, industry and the broader community. The key challenge was to take some of the world class technical and scientific work of the company and turn it into a compelling story that could be delivered to a diverse range of audiences. Aroca delivered this narrative and messaging within a comprehensive communication and media strategy that was delivered across the key Asian target markets.
PROMOTING THE BENEFITS OF AN INDUSTRY TO KEY GOVERNMENT DECISION MAKERS
An industry association operating within the food and beverage sector in Singapore commissioned Aroca to develop and execute an engagement plan to promote the industry to key government stakeholders as well as the broader community. Aroca supported the association to better understand the sentiments of the industry and their product by conducting extensive public opinion research. Furthermore, through the preparation of an extensive white paper as well as position papers on crucial regulation, the association was able to demonstrate the social, economic and cultural benefits of the industry to the Singapore Government and community.
POLICY ADVICE FOR BUSINESS DECISIONS
A global FMCG sector client operating in a highly regulated industry sector was exploring moving its manufacturing facilities to an ASEAN country. The company sought advice from Aroca on the political risk and policy landscape of countries including Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Through engagement with our expert networks across these countries, we were able to provide a thorough assessment of political risk as well as advise on specific policies, regulatory and political trends that were relevant to the client’s industry. The client was also provided a detailed overview of policies and cost factors that were relevant to the establishment of a manufacturing facility to inform their decision-making process.
