Yap Teck Seng is based in Malaysia and has more than 17 years of experience in public affairs, corporate advisory and industry research. 

 

Previously, he worked for a Fortune 500 FMCG Multinational Company for almost eight years. In this role he was responsible for leading a team, specifically in public advocacy and stakeholder management, and involved in a broad spectrum of global and regional advocacy initiatives. He was also involved in leading media campaigns and corporate social responsibility programs.

 

Prior to this, he was the Government Affairs Manager of American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM Malaysia). In this role, he represented the Chamber in various high level government engagements and assisted in the formulation of strategies to enhance business-trade relationships between AMCHAM Malaysia and its external stakeholders including the Malaysian Government and US Government agencies. 

 

He has also worked as a Senior Research Analyst for a boutique industry research and consultancy firm, primarily responsible for the preparation of market research reports for public listing on the Main Board, Second Board and MESDAQ Market of Bursa Malaysia.

 

Currently, he serves as a member of the AMCHAM Malaysia’s Government Relations Committee.
